Artist's statement
My current artistic practice explores expressive instincts during the slow process of hand stitching. I use experimentation through contrasts in texture and tone to create atmospheric, abstract, textile art.
Working freely and intuitively, I explore boundaries of the traditional embroidery hoop. Conflicted by subtlety and exaggeration, driven by mood, each piece is my unique reaction to events occuring at the time of making.
