​​The Broderers' Exhibition: The Art of Embroidery

Philippa was proud to have two pieces selected for The Broderers' Exhibition 2025: The Art of Embroidery, a curated open-submission exhibition at London's Bankside Gallery. Organised by The Worshipful Company of Broderers, one of the City of London’s ancient Livery Companies, the exhibition celebrates the highest standards of embroidery as a Fine Art form.
Her featured works included 'Speaking with Trees': Hand embroidery using cotton and silk on linen and voile fabrics. This piece reflects on the unrelenting optimism of nature found in overlooked elements.
'Tiny Wonders' is a continuation of Philippa's exploration into expressive instincts and the slow, meditative process of hand-stitching.
Both pieces were created through an intuitive, cathartic process, using experimental contrasts in texture and tone to capture personal, visual reactions to the natural world.
